A protein powder pouch has one requirement that no other dry-goods pack shares: a scoop has to go in and come out without fighting the zipper. That is why supplement packaging in this range is built on a wide-mouth stand up pouch. Whey, casein, plant protein, pre-workout, collagen, greens and meal replacement all specify the same way.

Why the Mouth Width Matters More than the Volume

Protein is light and bulky, so a 1 kg pouch is physically large; if the top seal is the same width as a 1 kg coffee bag, the customer knocks powder onto the counter every morning. We widen the top and shorten the body for the same volume, which also gives a squarer front panel for artwork and a nutrition panel that does not wrap around a curve.

Moisture Is the Shelf-Life Problem

Protein powder cakes when it takes on moisture, and it takes on moisture through the zipper as much as through the film. A foil laminate with a well-specified zipper and, where the market allows it, a desiccant sachet keeps a 1 kg tub-replacement pouch usable to the last scoop. Where a claim rests on it, tell us the shelf life you need and we specify to that rather than to a default.
