Drip coffee sachets hold a paper filter with fold-out hanging ears inside a sealed outer sachet, so a single cup brews on the rim of a mug with nothing else needed. We run them in foil, PET/PE and compostable laminates, nitrogen-flushed so the roast survives to the cup. How a drip coffee sachet is built
Two Components, and the Outer Is the One That Matters
A drip coffee bag is a filter with hanging ears that hooks over a mug, sealed inside an outer sachet. Buyers concentrate on the filter; the shelf life comes almost entirely from the outer. Ground coffee stales fast and a filter is porous by design, so the sachet around it is doing all of the protecting.
The Outer Sachet
Foil laminate with a nitrogen flush is the standard: it blocks oxygen and light outright and keeps a single serving tasting like the roast for months rather than weeks. A tear notch that opens cleanly one-handed matters more here than on any other pack — the customer is standing at a hotel desk with a mug in the other hand.

What is actually in a drip coffee bag?
Two components: a filter with hanging ears holding the ground coffee, and a sealed outer sachet around it. The outer is where the shelf life comes from.
How much coffee goes in one?
Between 8 and 12 g depending on the cup size you are designing for. Tell us the target cup and we work back from it.
Why does the outer sachet matter so much?
A filter is porous by design, so it protects nothing. Foil laminate with a nitrogen flush is what keeps a single serving tasting like the roast for months rather than weeks.
Do you fill them, or supply them empty?
We supply the printed packaging. Filling is done on a drip bag line, which we can point you to if you do not have one.
Can the outer sachet be compostable?
Yes, certified to EN 13432. The filter and the ears have their own specification, so say early if the whole unit has to carry the claim.
How much design can fit on one?

Is a nitrogen flush necessary?
Not for a sachet drunk within weeks. For retail shelf life or an export route it makes a visible difference to how the cup tastes at the end of the date.

How should the tear notch be positioned?

What is the minimum order?
1,000 pieces per artwork, same as everything else. Sampling quantities are what this format is mostly bought for, so the minimum is deliberately low.
