Custom Printed Mylar Bag with Zipper (200 ml)Medical and Hygiene Packaging
Medical and hygiene packaging, where a seal failure is not an inconvenience and what the film is made of has to be evidenced rather than asserted. We build flat three side seal pouches in PET/PE and supply the full structure specification, the food- and skin-contact declarations and the seal integrity results for your run. Certification to a medical device standard is your regulatory route to take, not something we claim on your behalf.

About medical and hygiene packaging
Where the Pack Is Part of the product's Safety Case
This is a small range and a deliberate one. Sterilizer bags, breastmilk storage bags and hygiene products are packaging where a seal failure is not an inconvenience, and where what the film is made of has to be evidenced rather than asserted. We make them to the same standards as our food work, with the documentation that goes with it.
What Is Different Here
- Documented materials. Food-contact and medical-grade films with certificates against the batch, not against the product line.
- Seal integrity as a test, not a look. Pull tests and dye penetration rather than a visual check.
- Tamper evidence. Visible before use, on a pack that may be stored for months first.
- Graduations and write-on panels. Breastmilk and sample bags carry printed scales, which have to be accurate on the finished pack rather than on the artwork.
Sterilizable and Freezer Grade
Two opposite requirements turn up in the same category. Sterilizer bags see steam and heat; breastmilk bags see a freezer and then a warm water bath. Each needs its own laminate, and a pack specified for one will fail at the other. We ask which cycle the pack has to survive before quoting anything.
What We Will Not Do
We make the packaging; we do not certify the device or the product inside it, and we will not print a claim we cannot evidence from our own certificates. Where a market requires a registration we do not hold, we will say so at the quote rather than after tooling.
Frequently asked
Specifying Medical and Hygiene Packaging: The Questions That Decide It
What certification do you supply with these?
Food-contact and medical-grade film certificates against the production batch, plus seal integrity results. Certification against a product line rather than a batch is not worth much.
How is seal integrity checked?
Pull tests and dye penetration rather than a visual inspection. On this category a seal that looks right and is not is precisely the failure that matters.
Can the pouch be steam sterilised?
With a laminate specified for it, yes. A sterilizable pack and a freezer-grade pack are different structures, and one will not do the other job.
Do you print graduations on breastmilk bags?
Yes, and they are checked on the finished pack rather than on the artwork, because print registration shifts slightly during conversion.
Is tamper evidence available?
Yes, and for this category we would specify it by default. It has to remain visible after months of storage, not just at the point of packing.
Can these be frozen and then warmed?
With a freezer-grade sealant, yes — that is the normal cycle for a breastmilk bag. The pack is specified for both ends of it before quoting.
Do you handle the device registration?
No. We make the packaging and supply its documentation; registering the device or the product inside it is yours. We will say at the quote stage where a market needs something we do not hold.
What is the minimum order here?
The same 1,000 pieces per artwork as everything else. Small ranges are normal in this category and the minimum is set for that.
Can the pack be written on?
Yes, with a matt write-on panel that takes a ballpoint or a marker without smudging. It is a surface treatment specified at the artwork stage.
Are the films latex free and BPA free?
The structures we run for this category are, and the certificates state it. We give you the document rather than the assurance.
