Apparel and Textile Packaging

Apparel and textile packaging: garment bags and mailers that close with a self-adhesive lip or a hook rather than heat, so they can be packed, checked and repacked by hand without a sealer. We build them in PET/PE with a permanent tamper-evident strip alongside a customer-facing reseal for returns. Opaque as standard, because the contents should not be visible in transit, and printed on the reverse for care and return instructions.

Where Apparel and Textile Packaging Sits in the Range

The numbers are how many packs in this range are also in that one, counted from the catalogue rather than chosen by hand.

About apparel packaging

The First Thing the Customer Touches, and the Only One You Control

For an online apparel brand the poly bag is the unboxing. It travels through a courier network, gets handled by three or four people, and is opened by the customer before the garment is ever seen. Custom printed clothing bags in this range are specified for that journey: a clean self-adhesive close, a face that takes print properly, and film heavy enough not to arrive creased and scuffed.

What to Specify for E-Commerce

  • Self-adhesive lip — a permanent strip for the outbound seal, with a second strip for returns if you carry them.
  • Opacity — an opaque bag hides the contents from everyone between your warehouse and the door.
  • Suffocation warning — required in most markets, and it is easier to print it than to sticker it.
  • Vent holes — for bulky knitwear packed under compression.
  • Finish — gloss reads as fashion retail, matt as premium; spot UV on a logo lifts either.

Retail and Reuse

Where the bag goes on a rail rather than in a van, a zipper and a hang hole turn it into a reusable garment bag that customers keep — which is packaging that keeps working after the sale. Both are available across this range, with gloss and spot UV finishes for accessory and gift lines.

What Is in This Range

Self-adhesive mailers and hook-close apparel bags for garments, textiles and accessories, in printed and plain film, with recycled-content structures available. Sizes are made to your garment folded, not to a stock chart. Minimum order is 1,000 pieces per artwork, so a size run can share one design.

Frequently asked

Specifying Apparel and Textile Packaging: The Questions That Decide It

How does an apparel bag close?

With a self-adhesive lip or a hook close — no heat. Garments can be packed, checked and repacked by hand without a sealer.

Is a tamper-evident close available?

Yes, a permanent adhesive strip that damages on opening, alongside a resealable strip for the customer.

Can these be recycled?

As mono-material PE, yes, and apparel mailers are one of the easier categories to keep mono-material because they need little barrier.

Are compostable garment bags possible?

Yes, certified to EN 13432. They are less puncture-resistant than PE, so we specify a heavier gauge to compensate.

What thickness suits a mailer?

50 to 80 microns for most garments. Heavy or hard-cornered items need more, or they push through in transit.

Can I print on both sides?

Yes. The reverse is where return instructions and care information usually go.

Do you make them opaque?

Yes, and for mailers opaque is the default — the contents should not be visible in transit.

Is a suffocation warning required?

In several markets, yes. Supply the wording your market requires and we print it; we reproduce regulatory text rather than advise on it.

Can they carry a shipping label?

Yes. Leave a clear panel in the artwork and label adhesion is checked against the film surface at proofing.

What sizes do you make?

Any size to your drawing. Send the largest garment you will pack, not the average one.
